This site is written and maintained by one person: Shema Prince, a freelance developer and remote worker based in Kigali, Rwanda (UTC+2). I build the tools and write every guide here myself.

I spend most of my working week on calls with clients and collaborators in North America and Europe. From Kigali that means I am constantly converting between UTC+2 and UTC−5 or UTC+1, and Daylight Saving Time makes it worse twice a year. For years I used whatever converter came up first in Google, and I kept getting surprised by four questions: is it same day over there, did they change clocks already, is that a half-hour offset, and is my call about to wake someone up at 3 AM.
So I built a converter that answers those questions directly. You pick the date, not just the time, so the result is correct for that exact day. You see whether it is the same calendar day at the destination. You get told what time of day it is there, in plain language. And everything runs in your browser, so I never see what you typed in.
To make time zone conversions and travel planning across borders genuinely less painful. Not "engagement-optimised," not stuffed with trackers. Just correct, fast, and free. If you travel, work remotely, or have family abroad, the exact local time somewhere should be one obvious step away, and it should be right for the date you care about, not just today.
The Time Zone Converter is the core of the site. It covers 83 cities across 59 countries and 72 timezones, handles half-hour and quarter-hour offsets, accounts for DST automatically using your browser's built-in timezone data, and shows you a same-day/next-day badge plus a quick "is it a good time to call" hint.
The travel and time zone guides are the writing side. They started because readers asked questions I kept answering in email: how the date line works, which countries skip DST, how to schedule a meeting across three continents. Every article is written by me, checked against current timezone rules, and dated so you know how recent it is.

Every timezone fact on these pages has been run through the same browser timezone database the converter uses, and I recheck anything that changes when I update an article.
